What an amazing time I have had in Kitale. These past three months have been so life changing and so wonderful for me. My first month on the other side of the world was a struggle because of being home sick but with time and figuring out where God wanted me to be I was able to adjust. I can’t even begin to tell you how much I learned in the next two months. I can honestly say I am a new person and am so thankful God gave me the courage and strength to live on the other side of the world and serve Him. It is something I will always remember and never forget. Thank you so much to everyone who supported me through prayer and encouragement while I was away. I am so thankful for all the love everyone has blessed me with. God bless each and everyone of you!

Day eight :: Walked to Shimo to pass out a few more gift for my lovely ladies :: Lucy, Esther, Jennifer, and Selina; played with Leila’s kids and said my goodbye, walked to town to do some last minute shopping, gave street sammy his new shirt (he was so hapy), said goodbye to my favorite cashier at the grocery store (Alex), went on my last piki ride with Victor (I even got a hug from him, love that guy), walked to Sammys house to play with her kids (laughed hysterically with Cyril for a good hour) and then had to say goodbye, and then lastly said goodbye to sweet Shayla and her family (she killed me when she said see you tomorrow). Goodbyes are no fun but somehow we still made the best of it!

Street Sammy modeling his new shirt and bracelet we gave him! He was a tad bit tipsy but couldn’t have been more thankful or happy!

Day seven :: Went to town to run some errands, went to Lucy’s for lunch and surprised her with a few gifts, held hands as Lucy prayed over us, went to Purpose Driven to say bye to all my students as well as Brian and Ezekiel (oh and cried my eyes out), surprised Victor with a special gift, and then made a wonderful visit to see Shayla and her family as well as Sammy’s house to play with her three kids. As hard as today was for me to say goodbye to the most important people in my life, I am thankful for every day I get to spend in Kitale!

Isaac, Cyril, and Lavender are so lucky they were found by Sammy so that she could take all of them into her home. Love these sweet kids!
